বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে সোনা জিতে ইতিহাস তৈরি করলেন হিমা
আইএএএফ অনূর্ধ্ব-২০ বিশ্ব অ্যাথেলেটিক চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে ৪০০ মিটার দৌড়ে সোনা জিতলেন হিমা। ইতিহাস তৈরি করলেন এই অষ্টাদশী।
ইতিহাস সৃষ্টি করলেন হিমা দাস। প্রথম ভারতীয় মহিলা হিসেবে আইএএএফ অনূর্ধ্ব-২০ বিশ্ব অ্যাথেলেটিক চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে ৪০০ মিটার দৌড়ে সোনা জিতলেন হিমা। অসমের এই মেয়ে ৫১.৪৬ সেকেন্ডে দৌড় শেষে করে ইতিহাস সৃষ্টি করেন।
এই টুর্নামেন্টের শুরু থেকেই ফেভারিট ছিলেন ১৮ বছর বয়সী হিমা। ফাইনালে নামার আগে হিমার পদক জয়ের বিষয়ে অনেকেই আশাবাদী ছিলেন। বাছাই পর্বে রেকর্ড টাইমে দৌড় শেষ করেন এই তারকা। তবে, বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে যে সময়ে নিজের দৌড় শেষ করেন হিমা, সেটা তাঁর সর্বকালীন সেরা নয়। গত মাসে গুয়াহাটিতে ৫১.১৩ সেকেন্ডে ন্যাশনাল ইন্টার স্টেট চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে নিজের দৌড় শেষ করেন হিমা।
হিমার আগে কোনও ভারতীয় মহিলা বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে কোনও লেভেলেই সোনা জিততে পারেননি। মহিলা এবং পুরুষদের মধ্যেও বিশ্বস্তরে তিনিই প্রথম যিনি বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিনশিপে দৌড়ে সোনা জেতেন।
এর আগে অনূর্ধ্ব-২০ অ্যাথলেটিক প্রতিযোগীতায় ভারতীয় হিসেবে পদক জেতার নজির রয়েছে মাত্র তিন জনের। তাঁরা হলেন, সীমা পুনিয়া(ব্রোঞ্জ, ডিসকাস), নভজিত কৌর ধীলোঁ (ব্রোঞ্জ, ডিসকাস) এবং নারজ চোপড়া (সোনা, জ্যাভলিন)।
আন্তর্জাতিক সার্কিটে প্রথম সোনা জেতার পর হিমা বলেন, 'বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপে সোনা জিততে পারায় আমি খুশি। সকল ভারতীয়কে আমি ধন্যবাদ জানাতে চাই আমায় সমর্থন করার জন্য।'
আন্তর্জাতিক সার্কিটে ভারতের মুখ উজ্জ্বল করার জন্য হিমাকে শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী এবং রাজ্যের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যামনার্জী।।
